ACSL computer science contests in Korea
Four contests a season, five divisions from Grade 3 to Grade 12, held in person in Seoul and Jeju.
American Computer Science League (ACSL) organizes computer programming and computer science contests for K–12 schools, organizations and local groups. This year is ACSL’s 49th year of continuous operation, and last year over 7,000 students from 21 countries on 6 continents took part.
In Korea, ACSL contests are run by KCSL (Korea Computer Science League), ACSL’s Korean region, with in-person contests in Seoul and Jeju.
ACSL offers multiple divisions, providing an appropriate challenge for students of varying ages and abilities. Each season is divided into four contests, testing students on fundamental concepts in computer science. In the upper divisions, each contest also includes a problem to solve by programming in Python, C++ or Java. At the end of the year, the top students are invited to compete in the Finals.
